About Us

A dynamic team of experts leads the development and promotion
of new products for Denex Dental. Each Denex Dental plan is built
on a foundation of critical advantages stressing flexible plans, cost
management, and personal service.

We were founded in 1965 by Dr. Ralph Foxman, who pioneered
managed dental care in the Mid-Atlantic region under Group Dental
Service (GDS). From 1965 to 1984, GDS established a client base
that included groups representing employees at Giant and Safeway
food stores, Marriott and Sheraton hotels, and other Mid-Atlantic
corporations.

in 1984, Dr. Foxman founded Dental Benefits Providers (DBP).
The new company supplied private-label dental products to national
insurance companies—clients with the highest expectations and
standards. by providing superior service, DBP grew to over two
million insured lives, operating in 38 states. because of its success
and reputation, DBP was acquired by United Health Group in 2002.

After the sale of DBP, Dr. Foxman turned his focus again to GDS.
The goal was to expand its products and services. The vision was
to create a product line with the flexibility to provide unsurpassed
service to the broker/consultant community and their clients.
